WITS CLING TO R15 MILLION VILAKAZI

According to Wits website, Bidvest Wits look to be trying to make sure they cling on to star midfielder, Sibusiso Vilakazi, by slapping a R15 million valuation on the 26-year-old.

As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, the Clever Boys are eager to make at least R15m from the deal if they are to allow ‘Vila’ to leave the club, or at least receive players that they believe are worth an equivalent amount.

Both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are known to be very interested in landing the Bafana Bafana midfielder, however the Amakhosi recently had a R9m bid for the player turned down while Sundowns are also yet to submit an acceptable offer.

Despite the fact that Vilakazi’s future has been one of the most spoken about topics in recent months, with under two weeks of the transfer window now left, it is seeming increasingly likely that Wits will fend off interest from elsewhere and keep the midfielder in Braamfontein as they look to challenge for silverware.
