Pitso Mosimane unconcerned by dropped points ahead of Black Aces clash

According to kickOff Online Magazine, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is wary of his side’s upcoming clash with Mpumalanga Black Aces, yet feels Downs are in a good-enough position not too be too concerned.

The Brazilians dropped two valuable points in their goalless draw against Golden Arrows on Saturday, allowing rivals Bidvest Wits to close the gap at the top to seven points.

Wednesday’s opponents Black aces are a further three points behind in fourth, and ‘Jingles’ is hoping victory will give the club a bit more breathing space in front of the chasing pack.

Pitso Mosimane was quoted saying:

"It’s a big game because Aces are close to us,” says Mosimane.

"If we win the game, it gives us space little bit, a breather if you know what I am trying to say.”

Downs are now 16 matches unbeaten in the PSL, and despite dropping points against Arrows, Mosimane says his side have “won enough” game to not be too concerned at this point.

"The Aces game is very important - as long as they don’t get more points than us, it’s okay," he says.

"Because now you have to think differently; sometimes you want to win everything but you have to see who is behind you, are they getting maximum points? No. So sometimes you mustn't worry that you need win, we have won enough not to complain ... we have won enough, we have done very well.”

Kick-off at the Lucas Moripe Stadium against AmaZayoni is set for 19:30.
