According to Give Me Sports, He’s the highest paid player in the world - earning £288,000-per-week but it’s been revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo earned almost £1 million for a single photoshoot, lasting just a few hours.

Football Leaks - the now infamous whistleblowing organisation - has released a contract which involves Ronaldo’s image rights company doing a deal with Saudi Arabian telecoms giant Mobily.

The leak shows that the Portuguese star earned an eye-watering £860,000 for signing five Portugal shirts, two social media posts and a photo shoot - which had a maximum time limit of four and a half hours.

Let’s just think about this for a minute. Almost £1 million for signing five football shirts. Getting your PR team to post two posts on your Twitter and Facebook and standing and smiling for a photo shoot. Ludicrous.

It’s been worked out that even if the day lasted the maximum four and a half hours - which seems extremely unlikely - Ronaldo would earn over £3,000 per minute. Three thousands pounds every 60 seconds. Wow.
