According to KickOff online magazine, Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela insists he is no quitter but accepts his team face a difficult task in trying to reel in Absa Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
Chiefs' title defence took strain last night following a 2-0 loss to high-flying Platinum Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
The Glamour Boys trail Sundowns by 13 points with eight matches left.
Kaizer Chiefs Coach Steve Komphela was quoted saying:
"They don't give away matches. They are in a rich vein of form," Komphela says of the Brazilians.
"They could get three chances and they will take two, that's how they are flying. To make matters worse, we are not doing ourselves any favours.
"I am not a quitter. I am not the kind of the person that gives in but I acknowledge the fact that it is becoming more difficult."
Downs, who are unbeaten in 23 domestic matches (league and cup), are seven points ahead of closest rivals Bidvest Wits.
