According to caught offside online article, Real Madrid full-back Marcelo has been slammed as an ‘actor’ by Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking.
Speaking to the German media [as reported by Sport], the Wolfsburg manager has criticised the Brazil international following some perceived play acting in Wednesday evening’s Champions League tie between the two sides.
Hecking Wolfsburg manager was quoted saying:
“Marcelo is an actor,” Hecking began. “I have told him to stop his acting.
“It doesn’t belong here and is unsportsmanlike.”
The coach is referring, specifically, to an incident that came during the Wolves’ 2-0 victory over Real in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final earlier this week.
In the 70th minute of the match, the wideman appeared to kick out at Maximilian Arnold—who found the net for the Bundesliga outfit—before then proceeding to headbutt the midfielder in the chest.
While one might expect Arnold to hit the ground, it was Marcelo who collapsed as though he had been the victim of a brutal assault, with the 21-year-old looking on bemused as he received a yellow card from referee Gianluca Rocchi for his supposed role in the incident.
